Accor Greater China, together with Changzhou High-Speed Railway Town and Changzhou High-Tech Group Co., Ltd., has announced the signing of a multiple property hospitality project in the fast-growing community of Changzhou High Speed Rail New Town. Sofitel Changzhou will bring a French luxury experience, complemented by Novotel Changzhou and a Novotel Living Changzhou extended stay hotel. The deal comes as Accor is experiencing an ambitious period of growth across Greater China, having recently opened its 700th hotel, with more than 100 hotels set to open by year-end and 150+ development projects currently underway.

“Accor is a market leader in matching the right brand with the right destination, in line with our partner’s development objectives,” said Gary Rosen, CEO, Accor Greater China. “Working with Changzhou High-Tech Group, we have the ideal opportunity to create an inspired mix of luxury, midscale and extended stay hotels that we believe will be ideally suited to the vibrant and booming community of Changzhou High Speed Rail New Town.”

Changzhou High-speed Rail New Town at Xinbei in Jiangsu Province has become the one of the most important economic development zones of Changzhou and a strategic link to the Yangtze River Delta Economic Zone. Renowned for its innovations in advancing sustainable technology, as well as being an international center of expertise for artificial intelligence manufacturing, Changzhou is also a host to the alternative energy sector, the automative industry, bio-tech medicine, new energy cluster industries, advanced machinery, and more.

“Accor is an obvious leader when it comes to offering a wide range of the world’s most renowned hospitality brands, such as Sofitel and Novotel, which we are excited to bring to the city of Changzhou,” said Ge Yafang, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman & General Manager of Changzhou High-Speed Railway Town and Changzhou High-Tech Group Co., Ltd. “The addition of Novotel Living will add a modern and fresh spin on the hospitality experience, which is particularly important to the young business travelers who are increasingly traveling to Changzhou and wanting to connect with the local community.”
