FHRAI Completes 69 Years of Advocacy Services to Indian Hospitality Industry
Aims to make hospitality industry globally competitive
The Federation of Hotel and Restaurant Associations of India (FHRAI), the Apex body representing the hospitality industry, is proud to mark its 69th year of service.
FHRAI has been at the forefront of promoting tourism and hospitality, aiming to turn India into a three trillion-dollar industry by 2047.
Established in 1955, FHRAI represents 60,000 hotels and 500,000 restaurants across India.
Over the years, FHRAI has played a vital role for the growth of tourism and hospitality sector in the country through its multifaceted activities and services including policy advocacy, education and training, research studies, knowledge reports, skill enhancement and capacity building, legal and regularity advisory etc. Through initiatives like the FHRAI Institute of Hospitality Management (FHRAI -IHM) and the Centre of Excellence in Tourism and Hospitality (CETH), FHRAI is putting efforts to shape the future of hospitality education and research in India.
As FHRAI enters its 70th year, it reaffirms its dedication to uphold industry standards, promoting experiential tourism, tourism excellence, sustainable practices and enhancing partnerships. Together, FHRAI and its members will continue to shape a vibrant future for India’s hospitality industry.
The Association’s commitment extends to fostering partnerships and collaborations with like-minded organizations and key stakeholders. MOUs signed with Sustainable Hospitality Alliance, the Indian Plumbing Association (IPA), and CII’s Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) are the latest additions to the long list of collaborative efforts undertaken by the Federation for the growth and development of the Sector. These alliances have strengthened India’s position as a top global travel and hospitality destination.
