Indian Outbound Numbers Stand at 20.39 Million during Jan – Sept 2023

Indian National Departures (INDs) stood at 20.39 million during Jan – Sept 2023 compared to 15.53 million during the corresponding period in 2022 and 20.26 in 2019, reflecting a growth of 31.3% and 0.6% respectively.
The top five destinations for Indian departures are UAE (25.21%), Saudi Arabia (10.99%), USA (7.90%), Thailand (5.12%) and Singapore (4.87%). Among the outbound travellers, 66.9% are male and 33.9% are female.
During September 2023, INDs stood at 2.4 million as compared to 2.1 million in September 2022 and 2.35 million in September 2019, registering a growth of 12.9% and 4.7% with respect to 2022 and 2019 respectively.
